Kirk has worked in a range of architectural practices, at a variety of scales since 2014, including large commercial and design led practices such as Conran & Partners and Make Architects, he brings this depth of experience to 50°North. In our specialist area of residential, sports and community led architecture he enjoys engaging with clients to help them to realise the vision they have for their homes.
He believes in collaborating and communicating well with clients to create beautiful, practical, and interesting spaces. His favourite architects are Antonio Gaudi, Frank Lloyd Write, and David Adjaye – each of these architects interpret the creation of space in very different ways and Kirks love of this ‘fluid design philosophy’ is brought to all of his projects. He started his architectural training at the Caribbean School of Architecture in Jamaica before studying at London South Bank, London Metropolitan and Westminster Universities. Prior to this Kirk trained as a Design and Technology teacher and uses this background to explain the sometimes-complicated process of building and renovating.
Kirk is a friendly engaging personality to have in the studio and he always has an interesting anecdote! New to the team in 2024 Kirk is a great new member of the team.
