STIRLING LISTED Gridshell Building Visit

Leigh visited the Weald & Downland Centre near Chichester last week and got to see the Stirling listed ‘Gridshell Building’. An amazing structure made of 4 layers of cross-connected timber each piece no bigger than 3×2″ to span a massive area.

The building is used to educate in timber construction with courses, exhibitions and seminars on site. The whole thing has a good sense of calm, probably due to the timber and location in a wooded area. Very relaxing. Even the kids were interested. Highly recommended.
